#lfhmun2023 - DAY 2

It's December 2nd, and the second day of the LFH MUN conference. The day began with high spirits and excitement for what was to come. The delegates had already completed their preparations for their first debates and formed their alliances. The Press Team went into the CDI to begin organising their work schedule, while members of the Secretariat and Administration finished organising the project.

First, members of the Press Team conducted interviews with the student ambassadors, bringing a humorous spin to the topics given. Meanwhile, the debates had begun in each committee, resulting in conflict, alliances, and a great deal of good discussion. Everything was flowing perfectly: The scientific forum was debating on the controversial solution of the particle of stem cell therapy while at the disarmament and international security committee they were discussing on hindering the radioactive sources by terrorists. In the social humanitarian committee their main debate subject concerned preserving the integrity of the cultural and historical heritage in countries that are currently at war zone. The legal committee was disputing on international law application were the strongest alliance ( Turkey, Russia,UK, South Korea, Cuba, Iran, Saudi Arabia, China) was supporting an even more strict one. In addition, the human rights committee was debating on modern society issues such as fighting the instauration of tyrannic regimes that diminish democratic values. All of the delegates returned home after the long conversations to prepare for the conference's biggest success, the Model United Nations party.

The formality of the simulation easily evolved into a more casual and sociable atmosphere as the night progressed. The LFHED came alive with the spirit of international collaboration on the chilly night of December 2nd, as eager delegates gathered for a spectacular event. As delegates from all backgrounds emerged for a night of fun, the atmosphere was packed with enthusiasm. The party provided several possibilities for networking. The diplomatic sentiments continued on the dance floor, as delegates exchanged placards for dancing steps to celebrate the achievement of their resolutions and the friendships made throughout the simulation, all while making long-lasting memories.

Overall, the celebration was a huge success, demonstrating the vitality of the MUN community.
