Athens is the capital of the country, being the cradle of democracy and democracy, being the core of the values and principles the United Nations stands for. It is the perfect place for a conference based on protecting human rights and raising the people's voice. MUNs are all about representing another country or organisation, exploring new territory, learning new things about the countries which shape our world but also meeting delegates from foreign countries. MUNs are crossroads of cultures, languages and interactions between young minds finding solutions to make the world a better place. Famous Greek philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, began by understanding the world, and what a better place to start than an MUN in all those philosophers'hometown.

For foreign students participating in the MUN, a tour around Athens is organized following the first day of the conference. the tour consists of a visit of the Acropolis and then a visit of Pnyx, where democracy was founded.
